monday crushes: countdown to portland

Yes! I am going to Portland on Friday, and I kind of just hope this week explodes and magically teleports to Friday. How's about some Monday Crushes to get there?

These floral oxfords I bought at Urban Outfitters last week are just too perfect. I secretly want to sleep in them. Or at least wear them with everything. Stay tuned for an outfit post featuring these soon. Very soon.

These animal postcards are right up my alley. I need them.

Lately I've been trying to devise a plan to get some Jeffrey Campbell wedges in my closet. Particularly the Snick Fringe wedges.

Would it be ok if I admitted I wanted this fringe one-piece? Would it also be ok to admit that I love fringe? And that I am on a tireless hunt for a fringe leather jacket?

Don't act like you don't think that's amazing. I bet all the old people at our condo's pool would be so jealous if I wore that.

And this purse is kinda perfect. I'm also on a hunt for something like this, but they're always so pricey. Maybe I should just break down and fork it out.

I'm also wanting to buy my nephews and niece one of these blabla dolls. Every single doll is incredible. I want one for me!

What are you loving this week?

monday crushes: camping recovery edition

We're back from quite possibly one of the best weekends of our lives! Syncro Solstice (the Westy meetup) was this weekend down in Moab, UT, and we took Monique out for her first off roading trips, met 40 other Westy enthusiasts, and had the absolute time of our lives.

But you know how wiped you feel after a 4-day camping trip? How you have a really hard time acclimating back to soft beds, clean toilets, and working? Yeah. That's where I am today. Kind of out of it and mostly wishing I was still romping around in the red sands of Moab. But alas, all good things and Westy meetups come to an end and here we are. Because I didn't have much time yesterday to anything other than clean up, today's Monday Crushes is a short one.

This picture our bff, Riley Onyon, took is phenomenal. Of course, all the pictures he took this weekend are outstanding, and I'm so so excited to show them to you tomorrow.

This batik Vanagon shirt is uh-mazing. I must have it! Must!

This chevron print is so so pretty.

Gimme these kitty potholders.

Lune's uh-mazing netted stone necklace tutorial is an absolute must for the weekend. I'm kicking myself for not buying some pretty stones at the rock shop in Moab for this! Wish I had known!

That's all for now. I'm off to a day of work--going to be rough! How was your weekend? Any crazy adventures?

monday crushes are pretty

Welcome to the Monday of your discontent. Maybe it's not really, but I watched Reailty Bites while I was sick last week, and there's that part where Ethan Hawke answers Laney's phone and says, "Welcome to the winter of your discontent." Have you seen that movie? I feel like I've seen it a million times and love it every time. The 90s were so angsty.

All 90s cinema tangents aside, here's a nice little collection of things I'm crushing on during this rainy Monday.

This Wes Anderson character illustration is kind of perfect. I found this on Blythe Hill's blog last week and squealed out loud a little bit. Embarrassing. Also, you should check out Blythe's blog. She's glorious!

And this bento box from this amazing website is almost too amazing to eat. I feel like I would cry eating the panda's faces. And the puppy. All of it. So cute.

I got these summery wedges from ModCloth this week. Always exciting to get a ModCloth package. Although, have any of you felt a little disappointed by your recent ModCloth purchases? Everything's starting to seem super cheap to me. Is my honeymoon phase with them over?

This chevron tote kind of makes me want to cry at its perfection. But so expensive. Alas.

This 70s mint sensation is calling my name. I would feel so Endora/Bewitched in it. Why is mint green so dreamy?

And along those same lines, this dino planter is amazing. Kind of reminds me of my dino planter, only a little more pretty. As much as I love mine, it's pretty 8th grade ceramics class. But that's why I love it!

Whew. And on to another week. Hopefully this one will involve a lot fewer tissues and nyquil-induced nightmares. We've got our big Westy meetup in Moab this weekend, and I'm pretty much not going to be able to function all week out of excitement. What are you looking forward to this week?

(ps--the ever lovely Christina from Cookie Louise Pleaze did a nice little spotlight on me over on her blog. Check it out and check her out--she's great!)
