I'm a voracious thrifter, music aficionado, heathen, and owner of a 1984 Westfalia Vanagon. I'm a writer and a designer, but mostly just a secret cat lady. Vanagon Champion is about all of these things with a little bit of thrifty goodness and old-fashioned magic for good measure. Learn more about me here.

sparklers, fireworks, america.
it was an epic weekend filled with thrifting with a bff, partying hard with nephews and old friends, eating incredible Settebello pizza, fireworks with bffs, and bbqs. if you don't love the 4th of july, well, you're just not american.
i basically wanted to live in this thrift store. everything was organized by color. drooling! i was drooling!
the ghetto town WJ parade never disappoints.
you can't really tell but this is a 70s disco rollerskater throwing down some mad tricks. best part of the ghetto parade. that and the mail carrier band full of 90-year-old men.
chris loves sparklers. and america.
i'm glad the sugarhouse fireworks were saved. they were pretty awesome. and i don't know that the 4th would be the same without the pandemonium, drugs, and gang violence of sugarhouse park.
hope your weekend was epic as well!

dear valentine
you are choice.
especially for getting me the threadless iphone case.
and especially for marrying me despite my love for captain and tenille and bad 70s decor. i'm glad we can celebrate tackiness in our home together.
you are a premium mustache grower. keep up the good work.
let's make it up to canada soon, ya? my birthday is coming. then?
thank you for going to work every day because a guy drove his truck into my livelihood. figuratively AND literally. zing!
while i don't believe in mushy valentines posts, i do believe in butt rock falsettos and a thing called love.
happy vday.
