thank you for coming to SLC last night. it was splendid to see you. it's been awhile since we last met, jenny, and I couldn't be more thrilled to see you again in so pleasant a venue.

you are both perfectly perfect, and if your chemistry on stage is any reflection of your chemistry off stage, then you both are living the most splendiferous romance.

jenny, your style was spot on. it always is. those shorts were incredible, and your legs? woah, girl. you are everything and then some, honey.

johnny, you are my new favorite musician in the universe. you are outlandishly talented and so genuine. i can't thank you enough for looking me in the eye and taking my song request. animal is easily my favorite song on the album, and you played it beautifully. thank you, thank you.

the setlist was perfect. especially the next messiah. so muchly glad you chose to throw that one in the mix. it was better than the album times bajillion.

most of all, thank you for signing my setlist and for not hating me while I sang along to every single one of your words. that setlist is going to be framed carefully and cherished as my most beloved possession. (along with my rilo kiley ticket you signed three years ago, jenny.)

you are a beautiful duo, and I am the luckiest girl in america after having seen you, sung with you, and spoken to you. thanks for the chills from these two songs:

today is a fantastic day. you know why? it's jenny and johnny day! I know I listened to you on NPR all last week, but it's official now, and I love it. I'm on my 4th listen so far this morning. thanks for making this tuesday pleasant.

you know what makes today even better, though? knowing that mitchell bought me tickets to see you next wednesday. yep. ima see you for the 4th time. and jenny, you better believe ima wait for you because I want another copy of your autograph. and a picture. so if you read this (and of course you never will. but by some wild random act of divine intervention and goodwill from the universe...) please look for amy morby in the crowd next wednesday. I'm your biggest fan.

I'm not sure where the summer went. In fact, I'm almost positive that it exploded and warped into a time-travelling machine of epic proportions and then exploded even more into weird physics that we don't even know about yet. Yeah. It went that fast.

It sure was a lovely summer, though. I partied pretty hard as far as concerts and music go. And when I think about the good times that went down this summer, they're all based around killer concerts and great albums. So many good albums were in heavy rotation for me through the sweltering months, and I still can't get enough of any of them.

tame impala. still listening to this one at least once a day. at least.

beach house. all three albums. so lovely in every way. another once a day regimen.

here we go magic. omg. that's all i can say. this one's twice a day. sometimes three.

best coast. best summer album possibly ever.

the new pornographers. always a given in the summer.

sharon jones and the dap kings. holla!

ariel pink's haunted graffiti. pretty sure i owe matt big time for getting me into these guys. amazing.

always a little LCD soundsystem to make your day just right.

and last but not least, sleigh bells. still makin me dance.

whew. so much good music. so little time. good thing there's a wealth of concerts coming up in October. But I'll save that post for another day.
