I'm a voracious thrifter, music aficionado, heathen, and owner of a 1984 Westfalia Vanagon. I'm a writer and a designer, but mostly just a secret cat lady. Vanagon Champion is about all of these things with a little bit of thrifty goodness and old-fashioned magic for good measure. Learn more about me here.

Free Tim Gunn Printables!
Here's a very silly freebie for you on this beautiful, 70-degree Wednesday!
The story behind this one is that I have a little problem when I sew: I get very, VERY frustrated. And that's an understatement. So I got to thinking the other day that I needed a little Tim Gunn sagacity in my craft room to keep me calm and cool while I hack my way through sewing with patterns. Thus, these free Tim Gunn printables/posters.
Just click on either image to download the pdf! They're both 8.5"x11" and should be high-res for printing.
Maybe you're cool as a cucumber when you sew, but if you're anything like me, these will be a welcome addition to the chaos of the craftroom. Enjoy!

welcome to the new a is for &
Happy Sunday. If you're visiting for the first time today, you might notice things are looking a little different around here. That's because lovely, lovely Mitchell of web dev guru fame has so kindly and lovingly built the design I came up with a little bit ago for your reading enjoyment.
So--what do you think?! I'm thinking it's A LOT better than the old one. I'm also thinking that this new design calls for some exciting new posts in May, so be sure to stick around.
Of course, a new design calls for some new buttons, so here are two widgets for you to use if you'd like.
I hope you like the new design, and thanks for following this here blog. I've got quite the migraine today, so I think I'm off to watch 30 Rock reruns and sleep it off. Happy Sunday!

new blog design sneak peek…
Alright, kids. I've got an exciting blog redesign in the works. You'd think as a graphic designer I'd be all up in my own blog's bidness making it beautiful and such, but honestly, I never want to work on it. When I do design 8 hours a day as a day job, the last thing I want to do when I get home is design some more, know what I'm sayin? But no more of that nonsense!
Want a little sneak peek?

Eeee! That's all you get! Fingers crossed that sweet baby Mitchell can have this baby up and running come Monday or Tuesday. Stay tuned!
