$2 Thrifty Thursday // The $2 lace tunic
Welcome to another edition of Thrifty Thursday, champs! Today I'm here to tell you all about my recent obsession with all things hippie. Wait, what's new? That's not news. But with the Westy meetup approaching this weekend, I've been craving all kinds of summery hippie goodness. Last week I thrifted this $2 lace tunic, and it's been on some heavy rotation as of late.
In preparation for the meetup, Mitchell and I took Westy girl out for a ride to the mountains for a picnic. We sat in the woods, ate our soft mozz sandwiches, and planned out improvements to make before the big trip. This weekend we're heading to Moab, UT for Syncro Solstice, and I absolutely can't wait. 4 days in the desert with 40+ other vanagon enthusiasts going off roading and having a generally awesome time. I love the versatility of this tunic. I wear it with leggings, bell bottoms, and just around the house when I'm feeling like a lazy bum, which is 99% of my life.

$5 Thrifty Thursday: The $2 Vest
Happy Thrifty Thursday, thrifting fellows! How was your thrifting this week? Would you hate me if I posted about a vest I thrifted awhile ago? And...maybe I've already worn on the blog? TOO BAD! I'm doin' it. And I'm never looking BACK.
No, but seriously, though. This $2 vest has gotten quite a bit of wear these days. Vests are just versatile, you know? If you don't know, thrift a vest and I DARE YOU not to love it. Double dog whatever dare.
This is a fancy pants maxi skirt from Shabby Apple. Truth be told, I'm scared of it. I mean, it was fun to wear to a family party and all, but I felt like a Victorian in it. How do you style maxi skirts? This one is particularly high-waisted, and...let me just tell you. Don't ever wear a high-waisted anything to a family function where food is involved. No no no.

$5 Thrifty Thursday: The $4 Fringe Jacket
Everyone--let's just stop right here and now and get one thing straight. I don't trust people that don't thrift. ARE YOU WITH ME?! I mean, wow. You are missing out. And you know why?
Because people that don't thrift don't find $4 fringe jackets. THAT'S WHY.
People! Just delve into the wild world of thrifting! Last week I did just that with my lady Caroline, and we happened upon this fringed coat. I already owned one, but it has some pretty intense shoulder pads that I don't love. So I casually looked at the tag and then proceeded to poop my pants at the $4 price. jk. I didn't really poop my pants, but seriously, though. $4?!?
Caroline said it was like watching a child on Christmas morning. It felt like Christmas morning. Trust me. See? I just don't trust people that don't thrift. But you know what? Good. They can stay home. Just means more thrifts for me!! Buahaha. (PS--heart glasses from the most amazing lady I know over at Tumbleweeds.)
