thrifty thursday: I am not afraid of color

Welcome to March 1! I, for one, am wildly excited about this month because it's the month I turn 25. Yes--one quarter of a century old. How does this happen? Weirdness. I've been out of college for 4 years now. What the?

Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed self-love month! It was amazing, and I have to admit--going back to my normal posts was kind of a bummer. That's only because I loved coming up with inspiring self-love ideas, and honestly, I think I needed self-love month more than anyone. My outlook going into March is completely changed, and I am feeling so empowered.

That being said, here's me going back to a normal outfit post. Huzzah! This little blue number is a vintage treasure gifted to me from the lovely My Girl Thursday. I love her, and you should love her, too. She's a real gem.

And yes! Color! So very much of it. This has been THE most unseasonably warm winter of my life in Utah, and I can't say I love it. I don't hate it, but I don't love it. Is it so wrong to miss cozy snow days? If it is, sue me. But I'll take it because I believe in being positive, and here I am--making the most of it with this bright outfit on a sunny winter day.

This vest is the real Thrifty Thursday gem. It was $2, and I literally pair it with everything I own at this point. Look at that vintage flower pattern. Gimme it. So much vintage goodness. I love the length more than anything. Give me an oversized blouse, leggings, and this vest any day.

Elsewhere on the thrifty block, Lindsay from A Vigorous Design found this kitschy and hilarious sign for $3. It looks handmade and is numbered and signed on the back. Yes! if only we knew the silly character who made this baby.

Did you find something awesome out and about on your thrifting excursions this week? Was it $5 or under and you’re dying to shout it from a mountain top? Send it over to amymorby(at)gmail(dot)com, and I’ll feature you here on another edition of $5 Thrifty Thursday!

Happy birthday month! I turned 25 last year, and I'll admit I freaked out a little bit about the quarter century thing. However, it's kind of cool to be able to say I'm in my mid-twenties now. Turning 26 in a couple of months and I say bring it on!

I've lived in Utah for just under 2 years and I agree its been SO WARM this winter! Its snows for like 5 hours looks amazing and then melts... I don't think living in the mountains is supposed to be like this. I live for your thrifty thursday posts! That sweater vest could be belted over so so so many things! I know you mentioned before you attended USU is there any where aside from DI to thrift at around there?! The thrift scene is killing me here. Ali
