Woah, guys. Woah. Hold the phone. I just finished the gnarliest sewing project to date. And I MIGHT be a little bit frustrated by it but mostly outlandishly excited that I DID IT! whew.
It was a tough one mos def. A purse. A big one. With hardware. And two zippers. And vinyl. VINYL! A vinyl and canvas purse, guys. Woah. So intense up in here right now. But never fear; I've done it, and I daresay I could do it again!
Front:
the back. or I guess the front. whatevs.
the guts.
close-up guts. I used teal corduroy for the lining, and I must say...excellent choice. That shiz is soft.
Definitely the hardest project to date. My thoughts? Zippers. They're not hard, but...kind of. Also, vinyl? Not fun to sew. One broken needle and 5 hours of frustration later, though, I'm extremely excited about my new purse. It's spacious, soft, and loud. And we all know that I love loud things. Conservative can suck iiiiiiit.
Oh, also, Royal loves it. So that's good.
We're now entering the super intense scary gnarly omg part of the sewing class where supplies get big and expensive, and I get increasingly scurred about what they entail. We're talking quilts and using commerical patterns here, kids. Wish me luck.
Hope your Sunday was filled with fabulous. I'm off for dinner with the fam and a Mad Men marathon. And for the record, in the next life, I'd like to come back as Joan Halloway.

Absolutely delicious!
why didn't i see this post before!? i'm so jealous of your purse! not gonna lie, looks too complicated for me to sew. don't tell my HS sewing teacher.
gimme your cat.
