Monthly Archives: January 2010

a can-do attitude

this week's the week.

the week i will find gainful employment. contrary to popular belief, i CAN and WILL find a job that will make me happy and not dread 40 hours of every week.

the week i stop thinking about what's wrong with this picture and instead celebrate groundhog day with luke.

the week i punch eminem in the face for still existing. and taylor swift for that matter.

the week i eat a little less/fewer(?) vegetables and a little more PB crunch.

the week i listen to nothing but the epic music that makes me infinitely happy.

etc.

the week i forget about january, take a deep breath, and give 2010 a second chance.

because you hate a lot of things.

it's friday. hey ooooh.

1. rebath commercials

i don't know if you've seen these commercials, but chances are, if you live in Utah and have watched any terrible mid-afternoon television, you've had the pleasure of watching one.

basically, rebath offers old people the power and security to shower again. huzzah! shower without fear!

the problem is....one of said commercials features a woman in the sunset of her life enjoying her walk-in bath tub....a little too much if you know what i mean. yikes. and bikes.

if you're going to offer our geriatric friends independence, do show it this way, and please refrain from showing the elderly in the buff. (just watch the first 20 seconds. it will change your life.)

p.s., what are the chances his name is really Tom Kruse? pa ha.

crafty panty

because i have no job i have the beautiful liberty of getting a wee bit crafty in the evenings. not really, though. i wish i was crafty, but sometimes it just takes too much work to hot glue stuff. or walk to michaels to buy the stuff. or even muster the energy to try and be crafty.

tonight, though, i sallied forth and made these brilliant little flower creations:

a biggun.

the lil'uns.

i believe i shall make them into hair clips to put on headbands. or just my hair. or mitch's hair. it's long enough.

also, they're cuter when not featured in a crappy iphone photo. sorry.

i also purchased my first hot glue gun tonight, so laura, it's time to let weekly craft nights begin. i mean it. come home from your stupid cruise and call me. eff.

***update yo***

I sewed one onto a hair clip. Now it can be by itself, on a headband, on a jacket, whatev. good times.
