Fred Jones & the Top 3 Music Vids of All Time

Today while my husband got shot in GTA 4 to some smooth R&B, it occurred to me that I've never adequately expressed my adoration for Ben Folds. The balding, ivory tickling, Elton John lookalike that stole my heart years ago with Whatever and Ever, Amen. Song for the Dumped made my trip to Denver to see Rilo Kiley not only bearable, but borderline scrumtrilescence.

To my delight, my boss showed me this video morsel the other day. Get ready to live.

Don't act like you don't want to watch it. I know you do. This is Benny F-dawg kickin the Postal Service overplayed monstrosity masterpiece "Such Great Heights." You want it. You know you do. Hint--he beatboxes at the end.

Watching this awesome video inspired me to create a list of the top 3 best music videos of all time. I can't say that I'm particularly fond of music videos, but every once in a while, one comes along that warms your heart and makes you want to shut up and dance. So, here it is in all its glory.

3. "Just" by Radiohead

I was raised by Thom Yorke and his synthesized shenanigans. Consequently, he starts off my list with "Just." I get pissed every time I watch the end of this.

2. "Ocean Breathes Salty" by Modest Mouse

I was also raised my Isaac Brock and co. I saw these little scamps last September with Rilo Kiley and pooped my pants out of sheer joy. It was difficult to choose a single Modest Mouse video that I love. I'm also fond of Dashboard due to the blatant use of musical instruments as prothesis pieces.

UPDATE: Sadly, this video has refused embedding. Lame. I guess you'll have to look it up on youtube or take my word for it.

1. A Toss-up Between "Sabotage" by Beastie StinkyBoys and "Weapon of Choice" by Fatboy Slim

I couldn't decide. Mike D in a killa mustachio or the genius of all geniuses, Christopher Walken's swanky moves. Either way, they're both life changing. Beastie Boys are responsible for getting me through the monstrosity of a work day, so I'll always have a soft spot for them. I should not fail to mention that "Praise You" by Fatty McFat slim is also extraordinary. I'll save that one as extra credit for you.

UPDATE: Hooray. Selfish copyright weiners refused embedding on this one too. If you don't watch any videos on this list, at least watch this one. You'll never look at CWalken the same again.

There you have it holmes. I know you probably won't watch any of these, but if you do, then thank you. Thank you for reading and watching and partaking. I salute you.

If you have any other videos you'd like to add to the list, let me know. I know there are music video gems amongst the squalor that is MTV.  So comment it up man...let's my music video-ly inspired together.
